Support Forestry Workers and Their Families

Hundreds of forestry workers on Vancouver Island have been laid off since March 2025. While the federal government announced an extra 20 weeks of EI and a $50 million Worker Support Fund, many workers in British Columbia have yet to see equal access to those supports — and key funding has still not been released.
E-petition e-7215 calls on the Government of Canada to:
Release Worker Support Fund money to B.C. immediately;
Consider retirement bridge and relocation funding; and
Extend the additional 20 weeks of EI until April 2027, ensuring equal access for all laid-off forestry workers.
Forestry families deserve fairness and timely support.

Since 1998, Health Canada has required synthetic folic acid to be added to white flour, pasta, and cornmeal — with no option for Canadians to buy these staples without it. Some Canadians carry a gene variant that makes it harder to process synthetic folic acid, and high intake can also mask vitamin B12 deficiency. Many countries, including most of Europe, do not mandate this fortification.
E-petition e-7418 calls on the Government of Canada to:
Make folic acid fortification of grain products voluntary rather than mandatory;
Require clear front-of-package labelling so Canadians can tell fortified and unfortified products apart.
Canadians deserve the right to know what is added to their food.
Support SOS Save Our Snowbirds!
Since 1971, the Snowbirds have represented Canadian excellence, unity, and military pride, and remain a proven recruitment tool for the Canadian Armed Forces at a time when recruitment is critically needed. While the federal government funded the squadron to remain airworthy through 2030, it has failed to secure replacement aircraft. Cancelling or pausing the Snowbirds now would risk losing the squadron's expertise, personnel, and legacy.
This petition calls on the Carney government to:
Keep the Snowbirds flying through 2030;
Deliver a replacement aircraft plan to protect this iconic Canadian symbol.
Canadians deserve to keep this proud symbol of excellence, unity, and pride flying.
