PMB - Sept 22, 2025 - Introduction

I was honoured to introduce my Private Member’s Bill today in the House.

The Respecting Families of Murdered and Brutalized Persons Act will extend parole ineligibility for individuals convicted of abduction, sexual assault, and murder. This is meant to emphasize compassion for the families and stop the recurrent re-victimization that takes place at parole hearings year after year.

Thank you to my colleague James Bezan for tabling this Bill in 2013. I look forward to continuing your hard work to bring justice for families and victims of brutalized persons. will extend parole ineligibility for individuals convicted of abduction, sexual assault, and murder.
